Dear NRN members

We should all be seriously concerned about the present state of affairs pertaining to the manner in which the national election committee is conducting the election of the NRN USA. As a life member of NRN USA, I think, the best way to resolve this unfortunate situation created by the collusion of certain individuals with election committee is to get a verdict from the US court. It is not a question of supporting one candidate against the other, it is a question of following the established system as per the bylaws of NRN USA, the past precedents and protecting the fundamental rights of a bona fide NRN USA member to be the candidate for any position.

We all watched the interaction program in New York moderated by Gautam Dahal, where Binod Roka and Tara Niraula have clarified all the misconception and the disinformation propaganda carried by some individuals who have influenced the election committee. What Binod Roka, the past election committee chair, had articulated is noteworthy in the context of legal ramification of the deliberate deletion and evasion of historical proprietary record information from the website of NRN USA by the NRN executive leadership.

The deletion of historical proprietary record information pertaining to the past election and the precedents established by past election committee is interesting. Tara Niraula explained how NAC historically evolved to NRN USA and in what capacity Gauri Joshi served in the past NAC executive under Dr. Ambika Adhikari. The deletion of the proprietary information of NRN USA from its website by the incumbent executive is deplorable and must be condemned by all NRN USA members who believe that NRN USA must be guided by its bylaws.

The incumbent president should clarify this issue as to why such proprietary information of the NRN USA was deleted from the website. Why the current election committee did not take this into notice and did not include Gauri Joshi’s name even after the judiciary committee’s clear verdict and the directives to include his name in the list of candidacy.

This certainly sounds fishy indicating that a conspiratorial collusion has taken place between RC, the incumbent president, and the election committee. The judiciary committee, as per Binod Roka, is the only committee entrusted to interpret the bylaws of the NRN USA and its interpretation is legally binding. This election committee so far has not followed the NRN USA bylaws, the past precedents and the directives of the judiciary committee.  In view of the email already sent to Gauri Joshi by election committee chair acknowledging the receipt of the needed document, clear stipulation of NRN USA bylaws and also the directive issued by NRN USA judiciary committee to the election committee, if the election committee does not publish Gauri Joshi’s name on Aug 3, 2017, it will raise suspicion and the question to the integrity of election committee that it has acted in collusion with some individuals who fear

In view of the email already sent to Gauri Joshi by election committee chair acknowledging the receipt of the needed document, clear stipulation of NRN USA bylaws and also the directive issued by NRN USA judiciary committee to the election committee, if the election committee does not publish Gauri Joshi’s name on Aug 3, 2017, it will raise suspicion and the question to the integrity of election committee that it has acted in collusion with some individuals who fear losing this election.  What is so strange is that why this election committee is dragging itself into this quagmire with total disregard of bylaws, judiciary committee’s directives, past precedents, and the common senses?

The best treatment for this kind of conspiracy against Gauri Joshi to protect his fundamental rights and rights of any bona fide member of NRN USA in future is to file a case against this incompetent committee and get the verdict of the court once and for all. That is good for NRN USA and also good for all NRN members because this issue is going to occur recurrently in the future.
