We are heartbroken at our beloved mom, Mrs. Punya Devi Karki, passing away on Saturday, November 17, 2018. We have scheduled her funeral service, memorial tributes, and final viewing and farewell on Sunday, November 25 (details below).

She was born on June 19, 1945, in Chainpur, Sankhuwasava, Nepal, to the late Maya Neupane Adhikari and the late Ratna BD Adhikari. She passed away at the age 74 in McLean Fairfax, Virginia after being terminally ill for 5 years. She was the loving wife of the late Indraman Karki. She is survived by her six children and 11 grandchildren.

Our mom was very kind and always smiling. She was a generous and giving individual, who loved endlessly and unconditionally. She always loved to socialize with families and friends. She was very religious, a lifelong vegetarian and Krishna-pranami. She was a great fan of songs, bhajans and watching movies. When she was till capable, yoga, meditation, gardening and Satsang were her prime passion. She had great strength and unbreakable will-power.
