NPPA’s 27th Anniversary Celebration
Dear Community Members, Friends, and Families: Jwajalapa – Namaste!
Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye (NPPA) cordially invites you, your family, and friends to join us in the celebration of Nepal Sambat 1139 (also known as “BHINTUNA” [Good Wishes]), Mha Pooja (worship of inner-self) , and NPPA’s 27th anniversary. Nepal Sambat and Mha Puja are unique cultural events of the Newah people of Nepal. Following are the details of the event:
Date & Time: Saturday, November 17, 2018 (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
Venue: Shady Grove Middle School
Address: 8100 Midcounty Highway, Gaithersburg, MD 20877
REGISTRATION:
Please register online for the discounted rate BY CLICKING HERE or visit www.nppa-usa.org. Following is the registration fee break-down:
Individual (18 years and older): e-registration regular: $30 per person
At the gate regular: $35 per person
Patrons/Life Members discount: $5 (limit 2)
Youth (11-17 years): e-registration: $25 per person
At the gate: $30 per person
Children 10 years or below: FREE
Registration fee includes the entire day’s program – Samay Bajee (lunch), traditional Newah “Bhwaye” (sitting dinner), and Live Cultural Program with Sapana Shree, Nhuchhe Dangol, Prajit Shrestha, Uttam Shrestha, and local artist. “DABOO” Magazine will be issued to Patrons, life members, and advertisement providers. Online registration also allows us to estimate the number of participants for the program.

03:30 PM – 05:00 PM Bhintuna Procession & Opening Ceremony
05:00 PM – 06:00 PM Forums
06:00 PM – 08:00 PM Live Cultural Program with Sapana Shree, Nhuchhe Dangol, Prajit Shrestha, Uttam Shrestha, local artist & Award Ceremony
08:30 PM – 10:00 PM Traditional NEWAH BHWAYE (Sitting Dinner) DJ/Dances/Raffles
