Reference: Time extension for protest or opposition against candidates:

As per our published schedule on any protest or opposition against candidates, it was by 5:00 pm EST, September 28, 2017. Since by the decision as per the election commission 2017- 2019, it has been extended until September 30, 2017, 5:00 PM.

As per the election schedule, application (Nomination Form) from candidates has been received by 5:00 PM EST, September 27, 2017. So, the nomination deadline has reached.

By the closing of this date, the following people have filed their nomination with the election board and have paid their respective due.

We the Election Commission Board for the term 2017- 2019 request all community members to protest and file for the opposition of their candidacy, if the community believes they do not deserve up to the criteria. Please email your protest/opposition to the candidacy at [email protected] OR call Dr. Thakur Pudasaini (Chief Election Commissioner) at 703 565 4697 by 5:00 PM, September 30, 2017.

Rescheduled-  Election Calendar will be as follows:

1. Application (Nomination Form) from candidates are to be received by5:00 PM EST, September 27, 2017. This has been reached and due date is over.
2. Any protest or opposition against candidates should be filed by5:00 PM EST, September 30, 2017.
3. The withdrawal of candidacy must be done by5:00 PM EST, October 01, 2017.
4. A list of final candidates for all positions will be published onOctober 02, 2017.
5. The final Voter List will be published onOctober 03, 2017.
6. Elections are to be held onOctober 08, 2017 during Dashain Tihar Mela – Election date is unchanged.
7. Election Results will be announced on the same day
