American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) proud to inform you that it is organizing its 10th Annual Conference and Meeting being held at Best Western Battlefield Inn, Manassas, Virginia (Greater Washington, D.C. area), U.S.A. on 24th and 25th of June 2017. The conference is hosted by the Greater Washington D.C. Chapter of ASNEngr. This special conference has an unique theme of “Innovation in Engineering and Scientific Knowledge for Tomorrow” with the principal objective of assembling faculty, engineers, scientists, students and other professionals from related areas together on a common platform for sharing and disseminating knowledge and experience with broader scientific and engineering communities.

This year we are proud to have many invited distinguished guests such as His Excellency Dr. Arjun Karki, Nepalese Ambassador to the United States; His Excellency Mr. Scott DeLisi, former US Ambassador to Nepal; His Excellency His Excellency, Mr. Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations; Mr. Jesse Gutierrez, P.E., Deputy Chief Engineer, USAID/E3/Office of Energy and Infrastructure;; and Dr. Tri Ratna Bajracharya, Dean, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. We are also very proud to have a keynote lecture on the timely and very important topic “Building Resilience in Nepal’s Healthcare System” by Professor Judith Mitrani-Resiser, Director of Engineering Laboratory, NIST and Co-Director, Center for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University. We also have invited speakers in the Plenary Session related to the conference theme presented by Professor Ayhan Irfanoglu of Purdue University; Mr. Mathew Francis, Senior Program Manager. of AECOM; and Dr. Govinda Timilsina, Senior Economist of The World Bank. The presenters and participants come from a broad base, including academia, government agencies, international organization, and industries.
