ANA Atlanta Declaration press release

The General Body Meeting of ANA held in Atlanta, Georgia during the ANA Convention 2016 agreed on the following declarations.

1.ANA is thankful to all the guests, which graced the convention to make it a success. ANA is especially thankful to Hon. MP Gagan Thapa, Hon. MP Rabindra Adhikari, sr. media personality Mr. Bhusan Dahal and democracy and development expert Mr. Jay Nishant, who came all the way from Nepal to participate in the convention. ANA is also grateful to HE Ambassador Dr. Arjun Karki, Nepal’s ambassador to the US, who attended the convention

2.The members thanked the current ANA executive team led by Mr. Roger Adhikari for bringing ANA back from a grave organizational crisis and putting it on a solid revival mode.

3.ANA will send a soccer team to Nepal in 2017 to participate in a soccer league championship in Nepal.

4.ANA will hold the next election to be conducted by the three-member committee: Dr. Shailendra Shukla-Chair, Mr. Naveen Dutt Co-chair and Mr. Anil Pathak-Member.

5.The 2017 ANA convention will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. ANA executives will work closely with local community and organizations in Baltimore including BANA to prepare and host the 2017 convention in Baltimore.

6.ANA is thankful to the representatives of various organizations, including NASeA, ANMA, BANA, RMFN and others, which agreed to discuss within their organizations and seek approval to be a part of a unity task force for all the organizations in the US and Canada. The objective of the unity task force is to help all Nepal and Nepalis related organizations in North America work in a united and coordinated fashion on the matters of common interest.
