Dr. Pukar C. Shreshtha is coming to Baltimore to join Johns Hopkins liver transplant program for 10 days. During his visit in here Baltimore He would like to share his experience on kidney transplant activity in Nepal with DC Metro Nepali community. This should help to spread awareness about our status of organ failure, organ donation and transplation in Nepal.

Dr. Pukar C Shreshtha is an experienced and popular kidney transplant surgeon in Nepal. He did his MBBS from Rajshahi college Bangladesh, MS from IOM Nepal and MRCS from Royal College of Edinberge UK

He established first transplant service in Nepal of UK standard in Bir hospital. He also established a dedicated Government Transplant centre and charity organization Aaorgya Foundation which have been serving people in Nepal those who cannot afford to go to India for treatment purposes.

Similarly, he has contributed significantly in bringing a Brain Death Act in Nepal which is the key milestone in the development of the transplantation. He has been very active in Awareness Campaign for the prevention from the disease.Because of his dedication in his fieldHe has been Awarded Excellent Health Service Award & Prajwal Jan Sewa Shree- by the government of nepal.
Currently he helds position of Executive Director, Human Organ Transplant Center, Bhaktapur &General Secretary in Aarogya Foundation.
