New Nepalese Lions Club Berkeley Makalu will be chartered in Berkeley.

For nearly 100 years, Lions Clubs International have served their communities and impacted millions of people around the world. Lions Club International announces global initiative to serve 100 million people by 2017, with the same motto and spirit new centennial lions clubs and centennial service projects are getting active.

Lions Club of Berkeley Annapurna which was established in 2006, is one of the active Lions clubs of the district which has officially chartered Lions Club of Fremont Sagarmatha on June 12. 2015 by International President Lion Joseph “Joe” at Marriot Fremont Silicon.

Now on November 15th 2015 the club is sponsoring another Nepalese Lions club. On the special and Historic charter night of Lions Club of Berkeley Makalu , the host Club has cordially invited all fellow lions Members, Nepalese Community Leaders and all interested people to celebrate the charter night at HS. Lordship Restaurant in Berkeley Marina.

During the ceremonies, there will be gracious presence of Lions dignitaries, community leaders, fellow lions and many invited guests. The charter night will be a grand and expecting most of the Club Presidents of 4C3 and Club officers to support, appreciate and encourage newly formed Club.

On the occasion, new Club’s Charter President Manohara Bogoti and her newly charted team will be recognized and honored. There will be continental dinner, cultural dances and songs too. Almost all the club members of the sponsoring or Host clubs are expected to be there said Club President Lion Dhruva Thapa, He further said It is our great privilege to welcome our Community People into Lions club of Berkeley Makalu.

They will be proud to have such a fine group serving their community. So let’s support and encourage them by attending the Charter night. Your presence will be highly appreciated. With the growing population of Nepalese community in Bay Area, we are more concerned in our community activities and social services, so this club will be a milestone to achieve our community’s dream with the motto “We Serve”.
