INAS Honors Dr. Khem Bahadur Chhetri in Baltimore

The International Nepalese Arts Society (INAS) has officially honored and recognized Dr. Khem Bahadur Chhetri for his extraordinary achievements spanning sports, academia, literature, military service, and the arts.

The special felicitation program was held on June 9, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland, where INAS President Shanti Bhandari formally presented an appreciation letter to Dr. Chhetri. The well-attended event took place in the presence of distinguished society members, local artists, and Maryland State Delegate Hon. Dr. Harry Bhandari.

Dr. Chhetri’s diverse contributions across several fields were highly praised during the ceremony. In sports, he is celebrated as a South Asian Gold Medalist. In academia, he holds a PhD in Human Rights and has contributed deep philosophical insights through his book, Survival Politics, published on Amazon. Dr. Chhetri has also dedicated his life to national and global service as a soldier, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Nepalese military and serving in various United Nations peacekeeping missions. He is additionally an accomplished playback singer and recording artist.

During the program, Dr. Chhetri engaged attendees by sharing his vast knowledge and personal experiences, speaking on the intersections of art, sports, music, and the preservation of culture.

The event concluded with words of appreciation from INAS leadership and community representatives, who lauded Dr. Chhetri as an exceptional role model for the global Nepalese diaspora and the nation of Nepal.
