Two Youth Events Successfully Concluded at the Nepali American Community Center (NACC) in Manassas, Virginia

Manassas, VA | May 18, 2025 — The Nepali American Community Center (NACC) in Manassas, Virginia hosted two vibrant youth-focused events today under the NACC Juniors initiative, aimed at nurturing leadership, teamwork, and academic skills among young members of the community.

Team Building Activity: KG – 2nd Grade

The first event, a Team Building activity for students from Kindergarten through 2nd grade, encouraged collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. The session was hosted by Nirjhar Dangi and Ritesh Phuyal, under the mentorship of Muna Bhatta Bhusal.

Winners of the Team Building Event:
• 1st Place: Sampanna Adhikari, Gita Gupta, and Prashan Raut
• 2nd Place: Sampada Gupta, Kavina Layalu, and Suhana KC
• 3rd Place: Sasha Pokharel, Ivanna, and Ghimire

Spelling Bee Competition: 3rd – 5th Grade

The second event was a Spelling Bee competition for students from grades 3 to 5, designed to promote vocabulary development and spelling accuracy. It was hosted by Arvin Adhikari and Dilasha Mishra, with mentorship provided by Sabina Paudel and Agrani Shahi.

Spelling Bee Winners:

• 2nd Place: Safal Bhattarai
• 3rd Place: Samyek Layalu

The events were met with enthusiastic participation and showcased the talents and confidence of the young contestants. Parents, mentors, and volunteers alike applauded the efforts and achievements of the children.

The NACC leadership expressed appreciation to all participants and volunteers and reaffirmed their commitment to organizing more developmental and community-centered programs in the future.
