The Newah Organization of America (NOA) families are deeply saddened to share the sudden passing of Mrs. Ambica Shrestha, a Prominent Noble Nepali-Newah figure. Mrs. Shrestha is NOA’s honorary life member, advisor and well-wisher of this organization.

She is a Newah Heritage Conservationist, social worker & pioneer in women entrepreneurship in the field of Nepalese Tourism. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the age of 91 in Nepal.

NOA is honored to have Lt. Mrs. Ambica Shrestha graceful presence as a Keynote Speaker in NOA’s 17th National Convention held on May 2018 and deeply regret the loss of one of our own very Newah community members and join the whole Nation in mourning the profound loss who has touched so many lives and contributed so much during her lifetime.

The NOA extends heartfelt condolences to the loss of Honorable Mrs. Shrestha. May god give strength and peace to the entire bereaved family members. Our thoughts and prayers are with family and loved ones during this difficult time. Let us pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
