Nepali Women’s Global Network (NWGN) and Nepalese American Chamber of commerce (NACOC) is collaborating to organize “Second Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership Virtual Summit 2020” marking “Women’s Equality Day” on August 29th, 2020, via Zoom and FB Live.
This virtual summit is aimed in offering a platform to discuss ongoing challenges that women face as well as the strides that they have made and the opportunities and support that were available to them. This event recognizes professional women leaders and entrepreneurs. Nepali women have continued to advance socially, educationally and economically but are rarely featured in events. Furthermore, they are not represented in leadership positions in the Nepali community organizations. NWGN and NACOC aims to address the aforementioned issues in this summit.
One of our main goal of the event is to recognize the Nepali American women who have been contributing in their respective fields. This event will also assist in creating a database of women professionals and entrepreneurs to provide resources and mentorship for the next generation of women professionals and leaders. This will also help with bridging the gender gap in the Nepali community organizations in the United States.
