GNPN/CAN-USA Announces Election of Board of Directors for 2016-2018

Dear all,

It is a privilege for this election committee to announce the upcoming GNPN/CAN-USA Board of Directors Election. The election date has been fixed by board of directors unanimously.  All positions of officers and the executive members who comprise the board of directors of CAN-USA are open for election.

The following positions are open for 2016-2018 terms:

1. President
2. Vice-President of Eastern Region
3. Vice-President of Mid Region
4. Vice-President of West Region
5. General Secretary
6. Treasurer
7. Executive Members (maximum 20 positions)

As a duly sworn board member or officer of a 501 (3) © tax exempt organization, you are expected to impart the duties as described in the CAN-USA Bylaws.

All CAN-USA members who are in good standing can send their nomination(s) for anyone for the above position(s). The nomination should be seconded by another member who is also in good standing. The nominees also have to be in good standing of CAN-USA memberships. To be in a good standing you need to be current with your yearly membership dues. Those who are not yet CAN-USA members or need to renew their annual memberships can do so by the nomination deadline. Contact [email protected] if there is any question.

All members who are in good standing will get an ID, which they will need to use in the election ballot for validity.   Election ballots and process of voting will be available online after the given date for the last day of nomination withdrawal.

Important dates to remember:

Last day to file nomination:                             Midnight August 22^nd, 2016

Last day to withdraw nomination:                     Midnight August 24^th, 2016

            Ballot will be available on:                               Midnight August 25^th, 2016

            Last day to send your votes:                            Midnight August 28^th, 2016

            Election results:                                              August 30^th, 2016

            Seating of the board and the officers:               September 1^st, 2016

Filing the nominations:

 

Please provide the following information for filing the nomination:

Name, address, contact information, job title, and the position for which you are nominating.  Also include your name and the person who is seconding your nomination and both of your contact information.  You can send your nomination via email to[email protected].  You can send nominations for multiple positions in a single email.
