Dear All,
The Association of Nepali Teraian in America (ANTA) would like to express our codoloences and deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased Nepalese that we are aware of so far from the pandemic of coronavirus: Ajay Chonchan, Thokme Bisht and Sonam Lama. Our hearts and feelings go out to the families of the departed and those with the feelings of great loss at this time of grief.
ANTA has been at the forefront of helping the community with the resources we have. ANTA sent out
a preventative information brochure before the pandemic started to show its effect in the USA and Nepal. Recently, ANTA has launched a GoFundMe to help those who are in dire needs and ran an educational webinar with participation from the esteemed doctors, scientist and life coach from the diaspora. The
next in the series is a webinar on April 10th comprising of the nurses from the community who are on
the frontline of the war with the pandemic.
We also wish a quick and complete recovery to those who have been infected and are undergoing treatments.
The Coronavirus poses a threat to the well-being of the entire human race, which is even more
the reason the world should come together to combat the disease. It is our prayer that the World Health Organization, Governments, medical research institutions, universities and other stakeholders will work towards innovative means & measures to contain the spread of this virus and cure the disease.
Sincerely,
Chief Spokesperson:
