Kanchanpur — A public dissemination and discussion program on the study of climate change–adapted potential agricultural commodity value chains has been successfully conducted in Krishnapur Municipality, considering the growing impacts of climate change. The program was organized at the municipal hall under the “Climate Resilient Program for Communities.”
Speaking at the event, Mahesh Ghimire, Coordinator of the Climate Resilient Communities Project, emphasized that scientific research and planned interventions are essential to reduce the increasing risks faced by the agricultural sector due to climate change. Deputy Mayor of Krishnapur Municipality, Dropati Rana, stated that climate change has had a direct impact on farmers’ livelihoods and that the municipality has prioritized the promotion of climate-resilient agriculture. She expressed confidence that such studies and discussion programs would support policy formulation and effective program implementation.
