In a historic milestone for Nepal and the global parkour community, internationally acclaimed athlete Dinesh Sunar has received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives under the sponsorship of Congresswoman Emilia Sykes (Thirteenth District of Ohio).
The recognition celebrates Sunar’s 20th Guinness World Record, achieved for performing 14 blindfolded backward somersaults in 30 seconds, setting a new benchmark in the discipline of parkour.
The certificate commends Dinesh Sunar for his “unwavering commitment to the sport of parkour” and recognizes him as “a shining example of why this community is known as the Birthplace of Champions.”
Sunar, who has represented Nepal globally as a professional parkour and gymnastics athlete, coach, and stunt performer, continues to inspire youth through his extraordinary skill, creativity, and dedication to athletic excellence. His achievements span multiple Guinness World Records, national gold medals, and international awards — including recognition from the State of Ohio, Summit County Council, and the American Parkour Federation (APK).
