Please find below the announcement from NASeA Election Commission 2023 regarding all Nominations for Board of Directors and Officers 2023-2025 of Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA).

NASeA Election Commission 2023 Timeline:
1. Membership Drive Valid By- August 21, 2023:

~NASeA Election committee requests all its general members to be the paid-up members of NASeA by Monday, August 21, 2023 to be the candidate and eligible to vote in this election. Please visit NASeA website and click the link to be a member via PayPal. https://naseaonline.org/membership-2/membership/

2. First list of Voter publish- August 23, 2023:

~First List of Voters list publish in NASeA website. https://naseaonline.org/

3. Claim, Correction on Voter list- August 24, 2023:

~Any disputes, claims in the published Voters list.

4. Final Voter list publish – August 25, 2023:

~Final Voters List publish in NASeA website by Friday by 4 PM

5. Nominations of Candidate -August 25 start 5 PM End August 26 11:59 PM:
~NASeA’s Election Committee invites nominations from its members to serve as Officers of the Board for a two-year term beginning September 4, 2023.

The nominations are available for the following Positions:
President (1)
Executive Vice President (1)
Vice President (1)
General Secretary (1)
Joint Secretary (1)
Treasurer (1)
Board (Executive) Members (15)

Interested members can either self-nominate or nominate by other individuals who are dues paying members of NASeA as of August 21, 2023. Nominations must be received by the Election Committee by Saturday, August 26, 2023 by 11.59 PM for consideration.

Nominations must be submitted by following the guidelines and procedures as described below.

The nominee must:
– Be a NASeA member in good standing.
– Has attained the age of 18 years by the filing deadline.
– Has been a NASeA member filing all dues by August 21 as announced. 

– In the case of President, in addition to the above three requirements, has served as a Board officer for at least one term (2 years)

Nomination procedures: While submitting a nomination, the following procedures must be followed:
– One individual is eligible to compete for only one position.
– A nominator can send a nomination for one or more positions.
– The following information about the nominator must be provided:
                a. Name:
                b. Current mailing address:
                c. Valid email address:
                d. Verifiable phone number:
                e. Member as of August 21, 2023: Yes or No
– The position or positions being nominated must be clearly specified.
– The following details for each nominee must be provided:
                a.   Position contesting or nominated:
                b.   Name:
                c.   Current mailing address:
                d.   Valid email address:
                e.   Verifiable phone number:
                f.    Member as of August 21, 2023: Yes or No

– A statement must be provided by the nominator that, to his/her best knowledge, the nominee is eligible for the position according to the nomination guidelines described above and in the bylaws.
– Nomination must be submitted no later than August 26, 2023 by 11:59 PM.
– Nomination must be submitted to the correct email address at: [email protected]  

Only nominations sent to the e-mail address above will be considered by the Election Commission. Any email with questions or comments about the nomination process and election will not be entertained or replied.

6. Publish of First list of Candidates – August 27, 2023 by 5 PM:

~Preliminary candidate lists will be published on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 by 5 PM
7. Withdrawal/Claim and Complain of Candidates – August 28, 2023 by 12 PM:

~Withdrawal/Claim and complain of candidate validity deadline for Candidates from various positions will be till Monday, August 28, 2023by 12 PM. 

8. Final list of candidates- August 28, 2023 by 11:59 PM: 

~Final List of the candidates will be published on Monday, August 28^th 2023 by 11:59 PM.

9. Election Campaign- August 28-30, 2023: 

~All candidates are advised to perform their election campaign during this time frame. 

10. End of election campaign- August 30:

~Election campaign ends by Wednesday, August 30 by 11:59 PM. All Candidates are advised to strictly follow this protocol. 

11. Election date – September 2, 2023 by 3 PM to 7 PM

~NASeA Election for Officers 2023-25 will be held on Saturday, September 2, from 3 PM to 7 PM prior to fulfilling the following obligation and guidelines set by the executive committee.As officially announced and approved by the NASeA Executive board meeting held on August 14, 2023 the NASeA Executive Committee Election 2023 entire election process will be tabled to the NASeA AGM which will be held in Labor Day weekend for the ratification. Upon the approval NASeA Election for the Executive 2023-25 will be held by secret ballot. NASeA Election Committee 2023 firmly stands to reinforce the guidelines as approved by the executive committee and the By-Laws to conduct free and fair elections.

12. Result announced together with Installation ceremony- Saturday, September 2^nd 2023:
