The Newah Organization of America (NOA) families are deeply saddened to share the sudden passing of Mr. Ghana Shyam Kayastha, beloved father of NOA’s life member and active volunteers Mrs. Romee Shrestha, Mrs. Ami Pradhan and father-in-law of NOA’s General Secretary Mr. Udaya Shrestha and life member and active supporter Mr. Sunil Mathema Pradhan. He passed away peacefully in Kathmandu, Nepal on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the age of 77 years. He was born on October 2, 1945.
Late Mr. Kayastha was an Entrepreneur, Industrialist, compassionate Social Worker and Past Director of Lions Club of Kathmandu. He is survived by a son, two daughters, a daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law and six grandchildren. We regret the loss of one of our own very prominent Nepali-Newah community members who has touched many lives, served and contributed so much during his lifetime.
The NOA extends heartfelt condolences to the entire Kayastha, Shrestha and Pradhan families. May god give strength and peace to the entire bereaved family members. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Romee Shrestha, Ami Pradhan and all loved ones during this difficult time. Let us pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
