International Nepali Literary Society, Washington DC Metro Committee (INLS Washington DC), is holding an election for its Executive Committee for the term 2022-2024.

As per article VII-1 of the INLS Bylaws, INLS DC Committee Election Coordination Committee calls for the candidacy for the following positions:

1. President (1)
2. General Vice President (1)
3. Women Vice President (1)
4. Cultural Vice President (1)
5. General Secretary (1)
6. Secretary (1)
7. Treasurer (1)
8. Communication Director (1)
9. Members (7)

1. Election voting will be in person. Voting venue will be published separately, if needed.
2. Nomination: The candidacy should be filed between June 10 to June 13 (midnight), 2022 by email to [email protected].  Please send your name, current position (if any) and desired position for 2022-2024 term, your address and your email address.  
3. Nomination fee: Each candidate must pay the candidacy filling fee by appropriate means of transfer to INLS DC Treasurer. If you are sending by check, please send to:

1. President (1)- $200
2. Vice President- $150
3. Cultural Vice President (1)- $150

5. All the candidate fees are non-refundable.

6. Dates: The Election Coordination Committee has established the following timeline for the election: 

• June 10: Election announcement goes out to public
• June 13: Deadline to submit the candidacy for the positions (12 midnight)
• June 14- Publish the first voters’ list
• June 15: Publish corrected voters’ list
• June 16: Publish the final voters’ list
• June 18: Announce the names of the candidates submitted
• June 25: Withdraw of the candidacy, if any
• June 25: Publish the names of the final candidates
• June 30: Voting day
• July 5: Publish election results
• July 9: Oath Ceremony
