The era of digital age has already started. Over five billion people are digitally connected across the globe. In the next decade, access to the internet will be available for all the people on earth. 20 years ago, this phenomenon was never imagined. Now it is becoming a reality and compulsion of human lives.

In recent years, people’s mindset solely depended on computers, phones, and the Internet. The technology has taken people’s physical connection and socialization away because most activities are preferred to be online and person to person connection is becoming obsolete.

The internet is a turning point for human civilization and universalization which will bring sweeping changes in people’s lives. We might not need to work as hard as before because technology will do most of our jobs. Schools and colleges will offer courses online. You can be on one side of the world while your virtual college sits on the other side of the world. So, getting your degree is much easier and faster since resources are available online.

There is a rumor about Robots and AI (Artificial Intelligent) taking over the job market. When we go to grocery stores, departmental stores, and other shopping centers where self-checkout systems are in place, you do not have to see a person physically in order to buy items. It is a clear indication that physical stores are turning into digital stores which are the results of Artificial Intelligence. In coming years, more physical stores will go online, and a lot of jobs may go away.

Car companies are manufacturing autonomous vehicles at a fast pace. In a few decades, steering wheel will no longer be available on cars. You may only have one option available to buy a self-driving car which will self-drive you to your desired destination by clicking of a button on your mobile app.  Other industries will also be automated. Less and less human presents and more and more Robotic activities will take place worldwide.

Manmade Robots may save time and cost for companies, but it may also hurt the labor market. Unemployment may rise at a fast rate in the near future. The tech sector will dominate the world and only skilled manpower will have opportunities for new positions. Future of young generation will not be as easy as we thought it would be. At this situation they may be forced to get more technology knowledge-based education in order to survive and support their future.

Cyber threats going to be another challenge for countries, industries, and individuals. For example, when you purchase an item that you prefer to be Bluetooth and app enabled, you expect to receive robotic services from that device. It works whether it is managed or unmanaged. Basically, you forget to maintain the device while it is working.

When it is in the default mode, the device becomes wide open, and that weakness turn into an opportunity for hackers to take ownership of that device quietly and remotely. When a device is under their control, it will be used by intruders to record your voice, video, and data silently so privacy can no longer be secured.

In the past, hackers have stolen billions of dollars from millions of unmanaged user’s smart devices, and they are aiming to generate trillions of dollars by victimizing unskilled, innocent users in coming years.

Day-by-day, hour-by-hour, and minute-by-minute more users are becoming vulnerable and victims from the new technology. The only solution to this issue is cyber security professionals must start educating users from the grass-root level. Cybercrimes won’t be controlled until they are physically trained. That’s why cyber security awareness is an essential part for the internet users.
