Electricity bill now payable from Khalti Digital Wallet

Online payment service provider company, Khalti Digital Wallet has signed an agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) with the aim of facilitating customers, small, medium, and large enterprises to pay their electricity bills up to Rs. 5,00,000 online from Khalti.

The agreement was signed between NEA’s Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Manoj Silwaal, and Khalti Digital Wallet’s Business Development Manager, Mr. Jonaam Bhurtel.

Speaking about the agreement Khalti’s Business Development Manager, Mr. Jonaam Bhurtel shared,

“Now, customers no longer have to face the hassle of visiting the NEA office to pay their bill. They can make their electricity payment online from the comfort of their home. We believe that this service will definitely contribute to making our dream of Digital Nepal come true”

Users can pay electricity bills online from 10 am to 12 midnight.

To pay the NEA bill, one needs to:

  1. Go to Khalti’s homepage and tap on the “Electricity” icon,
  2. Enter the required details
  3. Tap on ‘Get Details
  4. Confirm the details and click on “Proceed to Pay”
