Camel is an animal. In desert many animals live in which camel is also one of them. It is a mammal.
Camel have big eye lashes and a nose which have slit nostrils which can be closed fuly perfectly which helps them to protect their eyes from the blowing sand. It have four legs. They have padded feet. Their legs are so long. Their skin leathery. Their mouth is also leathery which helps then to eat peaky plants. They have two ears which is furry. They have hairs in the back which protect them from sun.
In desert food and water are found in less amount. It have hump which stores food. And it have water pouches which stores water in it. Camel can live fifteen days with out food and water.
For we humans, camel is mainly needed for transportation in the desert. We will sit on its back and it will help us to go from one place to another. So, it is nick named as the Ship of desert.
