“ Blood Donation “ is universally claimed the most precious gift for the human beings. There is no replacement of human blood so when an individual need blood, someone else has to give it. Saving human lives cannot be compared with anything else. One pint of blood can save as many as three human lives. Established in 2009, BDA has been actively involved for this most valuable and significant social/ humanitarian work throughout USA. So far, more than 10,000 pints of blood has been collected with BDA’s involvement/initiatives .The recent donations are documented in the BDA’s website www.blooddonorsofamerica.org. BDA has not only been recognized for its praiseworthy works in our societies, but also established a strong rapport with blood banks and local / state governments in various US states, as many of them rely on BDA for urgent blood need in various states/cities.
NASeA has also been involving since its inception on 1991 on various social activities particularly for the betterment of our societies. As per the bylaws, one of the mission statement of NASeA is “ To serve fellow human beings “. NASeA has been continuously involving to serve all human beings through our societies on various aspects and fields of human life. Out of many such activities, NASeA has also been organizing blood donation events including the synchronized blood donation coordinated by BDA. Even though NASeA used to organize such blood donation events in the past by itself, signing MOU with BDA now is definitely another historical step forward to accomplish such valuable and humanitarian social works. In addition to blood donation, this MOU will also enhance both organizations to work together on many other fronts of various social works as well. The decisions of both executive committees of NASeA and BDA to sign this historically important document are highly appreciated. All the roles played for the thought, initiative and coordination for this MOU by the immediate past president and chief adviser of BDA Dr Nanda Regmi, presidents of NASeA and BDA Mr Binaya Aryal and Dr Lila Raj Dahal, respectively, and the General Secretaries of NASeA and BDA Mr Krishna Shrestha and Mr Satish C Gupta, respectively are truly commended.
