Dear NPPA Patrons, Life Members, and Community Members, Jwajalapa,
We, at Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye (NPPA), are extremely saddened by the demise of NPPA Patron Mr. Ramji Prajapati, husband of NPPA Patron Mrs. Durga Devi Prajapati. He passed away in Maryland, USA on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at the age of 82 years. He was born on May 15, 1938, in Kathmandu, Nepal. NPPA lost an invaluable team member.
Mr. Prajapati joined the Nepalese diplomatic mission in Washington, DC in 1970, after rendering his services at Royal Nepalese Embassy in China for seven and half years . He was a life member of ANS, Treasurer of Nepalese-American Senior Community, a founding member of ANA and NECC. He was a devoted follower of Buddhism and he was a founding member of Paramparagat Buddha Dharma Sangha of the USA. His family members bestowed upon him the honor of “root of the Prajapati family.” He dedicated his time helping the community and those around him all his life.
Mr. Prajapati is survived by his wife Mrs. Durga Devi Prajapati, two daughters, two sons-in-law, five grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved Prajapati family for their irreparable loss. Our prayers are with them at this tough time of grief and pray for the eternal and heavenly peace of the departed soul.
