America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF) successfully conducted its 24th Annual Conference and Members' Meeting via Zoom on July 11, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ANMF was unable to organize its regular annualconference, so we held a virtual annual conference this year.
The first half of the meeting (closed session) included the ratification of the decision of the board meeting of 5/17/2020, regarding the new board and executive team formations. It also included the annual financial report by the treasurer.
The members unanimously ratified the board decision of 5/17/2020 regarding the election of our new President Dr. Bhupesh Khadka, Vice President Dr. Binod Khadka, Secretary Dr. Bishnu Sapkota, Treasurer Ms. Kalpana Shrestha, three new board members Dr. Raju Century, Dr. Sandesh Pandit, Dr. Dixa Dhital, New Project Committee Chair Dr. Santosh Sapkota, and the new member to the finance team Dr. Sandesh Pandit.
The members also unanimously ratified the new executive team for ANMF. The team includes President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Project Committee Chair, Membership Committee Chair Dr. Anil Suwal and a Board Member Ms. Julia Shepardson.
The second half of the meeting (Fun and Fundraiser Session) was live on the ANMF Facebook page.
The program featured the following speakers from Nepal, Prof Dr. Bhagawan Koirala and Singer/Spiritual Leader Ani Choying Drolma. There was a live performance by Singer/Composer Raju Lama via zoom from Nepal and a few of our own members
performed as well. Video of the work done by ANMF in the last year was highlighted in the conference.
The AGM was able to raise about $124,000.00 during Fun and Fundraiser session. The meeting was adjourned with a thank you note from the president to all theparticipants, guests, donors and organizing committee.
