Nepal Education and Cultural Center (NECC), following the teachings of the ancient (Vaidik Sanatan) Hindu and Budha Dharma, deeply cares and respects everyone living on the planet earth. Mutual love, respect, and care to all species, not just humans, are the core teachings of the Vaidik Sanatan Hindu and Buddha Dharma.
As an institution mandated to educate and share the teachings of Sanatan Dharma in the greater Washington DC area and America in general, NECC is aghast by the recent incident of Mr. George Floyd and many other similar incidents that keep happening against certain groups of populations in America and beyond. NECC abhors discrimination of any kind– racial or otherwise, and, therefore, strongly condemns such incidents. We believe that human discriminations are against our Dharma, and also against basic human values.
All lives are part of God; hence every life matters. NECC stands tall on this belief and offer moral support to all noble efforts aimed to eradicate all forms of human discrimination.
Finally, we would like to request all Nepali–American communities living in America and around the world to be extra–careful and stay safe in this racially charged and Covid–19 in- flicted environment.
