Dear all,
On behalf of Madheshi Association in America (MAA), we would like to express our deepest sympathy to those who have lost their loved ones due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19). We would also like to wish for speedy recovery of those who are infected by this disease.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has already declared the outbreak of COVID–9 as a global pandemic impacting more than 175 countries, affecting hundreds and thousands of people. We all are experiencing the unprecedented crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic. We urge everyone to follow the CDC and other public health authority guidelines and federal/state/local government advice to stay safe in this critical time. Please also explore the following links for more information to protect yourself and your family.

Whether it means being quarantined in an isolated place, finding alternative childcare, losing wages, or being infected, people’s health and daily lives are changing rapidly in an unpredictable way. It has badly impacted every part of our life.
To support our community, MAA has created a GoFundMe link and started ‘MAA COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund’ drive to raise funds for the victims of COVID-19, including the MAA members and their family. We are going to immediately provide assistance to get the supply of groceries and medicine and are preparing to expand this to other community support services like childcare, caregiving, and mental health support for those impacted by the pandemic.
This is community service, and we all need to support the community with empathy and compassion. Let’s work together to fight this unprecedented situation created due to COVID-19. MAA would sincerely appreciate all the donors who can contribute to this cause. Below is the GoFundMe link.
