Re. About the update of fake Facebook ID issue
As we are aware that the NRNA Executive Board had received a complaint from NRNA life member Mr. Prashanna Sangroula against Advisor Mr. Shiva Malla and Spokesperson Mr. Om K. Bhattarai about the fake Facebook ID issue, requesting to take the necessary disciplinary action. Executive Board 7th meeting (special meeting) had seriously discussed over the fake Facebook ID and had formed a five-member investigation committee under the chairmanship of Senior Vice President Dr. Arjun Banjade. Proposed committee members were Advisor Mr. Sanjaya Thapa, Legal Advisor Mr. Dhana Basnet, 1 representative of ICC (Americas region) and 1 representative of the women’s committee. In communication with the Americas Regional Coordinator and NCC Women’s Committee, we did not receive any name to represent to the investigation committee.
Recently, NRNA NCC USA Legal Advisor Dhan Basnet has resigned from the investigation committee explaining his role will have a conflict of interest in his legal profession. At present, there are only two members on the investigation committee Sr. Vice President Dr. Arjun Banjade (chair) and Advisor Sanjaya Thapa (member) which is not possible to complete the given assignment from the investigation committee. An investigation committee was updating the situation to the executive board regularly.
In the request of the investigation committee Chair to give way-out from the vacant situation; the executive board has given authority to the Investigation Committee Chair Dr. Arjun Banjade to add up to five committee members (as needed) and complete the investigation report at the earliest possible.
