Dear our future leaders and shining bright star students
Good Evening and Namaste
Let me introduce myself first . I am Krishna Shrestha from Florida . I believe that all of you must have heard about the Nepalese Association in Southeast America ( NASeA ) either via our official website www.naseaonline.org or through other news media or from your fiends and family .I am serving as the General Secretary of this association currently and writing this email to you all on behalf of this association.
Out of many goals and objectives , NASeA had been continuously focusing on preserving and continuing our native identity and culture here in America . Such preservation and continuation is only possible when previous generation is able to transfer these native identities to future generations also known as the New Generation ( called Nepali NAYA PUSTA ( नयॉ पुस्ता ) in Nepali ) . As youth leaders , you all are our NAYA PUSTA .
Due to many reasons including new technology inventions , different educational systems , different life styles and daily surroundings environments , different social and working culture here in America , there is a distinct generation Gap between previous and new generation in Nepalese American community . We would like to eliminate or minimize this gap as much as we can .This can be done through interaction between previous and new generations where Previous generation gets the opportunity to know the interest and necessity of new generation and new generation will also come to know the expectations of previous generation.
Having mentioned all these concerns , NASeA had decided to form a “ Youth and Students committee “ and decided to include you all to run this committee .
So , we are expecting this “ Youth and Students Committee “ will be able to organize above mentioned interaction along with other youth related activities and also share your academic and any other expertise to other younger students in our communities.
NASeA Executive Committee would like to congratulate you all for this important new roles and responsibility and wish you all for the most successful tenure . Your tenure will end on September 2021 ( Labor Day Weekend ) . After this beginning , you are free to make any size and type of this committee .
