Arti Singh Thakuri, Nepal
On October 12th, in Omaha, Nebraska, the title of Miss Nepal USA 2019 was gracefully earned by Surabhi Khanal, a correspondent member of RnR groups. In the presence of the Governor of Nebraska, Pete Ricketts, the program was jointly organized by Miss Nepal US and Nebraska Nepali Society. The event was held in the Relevant Center.
Being born in Kathmandu, Nepal, at the age of three, Surabhi moved to USA with her family. She was brought up in Northern Virginia. Currently she is pursuing her undergraduate degree at Emory University. This year, the pageant had a special kind of round known as Beauty Without Limits where each contestant was required to present themselves
For the talent round, Surabhi presented a spoken word poem, titled: “Born in a Brothel” and expressed the oppressive environment young women encounter. She performed confidently and took home not one but three titles: Miss Photogenic. Specifically, she wants to thank RnR Groups LLC for motivation of this beauty pageant.
