The North Carolina Chapter of Society of American Nepalese Nurses (SANN) and TNCC successfully hosted a health fair during the NASeA/ANMA Convention on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Salem, North Carolina. The health fair had many booths such as blood checks for lipid panel and fasting blood sugar (68 individuals), CPR/AED awareness, and free dental evaluations were done. Additionally, there were booths for colon cancer screening kits, and patients’ checkup. A lot of patients benefitted directly from the blood tests, health checkups and colon cancer screening. A lot of people ranging from youths to adults participated in the CPR/AED awareness session during the fair.
SANN would like to express sincere thanks to all volunteer doctors, nurses, other health professionals and individuals for their services to the community. SANN’s volunteer nurses ran the show and they are stars of the health fair. A congratulatory salute to all of them.
