Sad Demise of Mr. Ram Krishna Tamrakar

Dear NPPA Patrons, Life Members, and Community Members, Jwajalapa,

We, at Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye (NPPA), are extremely saddened by the demise of Mr. Ram Krishna Tamrakar, brother of NPPA Life Member and former Executive Member Mr. Prabin Tamrakar and brother-in-law of NPPA Life Member Mrs. Deepa Rajkarnikar. He passed away in Kathmandu, Nepal on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the age of 75 years. He was born on August 20, 1943 in Bhojpur, Nepal.

Mr. Tamrakar was elected to the Pratinidhi Sabha in the 1999 A.D. election. Subsequently, he became the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. Later he held the portfolio of Minister of Health. Mr. Tamrakar will be remembered for his several decade long struggle for democracy, human rights, and freedom of expression.

Mr. Tamrakar is survived by his wife Mrs. Jamuna Tamrakar, a son, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and three grandchildren.

Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved Tamrakar family for their irreparable loss. Our prayers are with them at this tough time of grief and pray for the eternal and heavenly peace of the departed soul.
