Exclusive Launch of “Go Green Enterprise”

Creative Academy has formally launched a student’s enterprise group, Go Green Enterprise, in a programme: Pathsala Karesabari Gala Event and Launch of Go Green Enterprise today, jointly organized by Creative Academy and Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN). The programme has been accompanied by chief guest, education officer of Kathmandu Metropolis, Mr. Sitaram Koirala and guest Mr Gangaram Maharjan, Chair of Ward 9, Kirtipur Municipality. Navin Vaidha with his colleagues has represented WCN in the programme. The programme has been inaugurated by planting different species of fruit plants.

Abhushan Acharya, a student of grade 9, has been assigned as the CEO of the business club, Go Green Enterprise, while 41 other students have been assigned for different posts. This club has been operating its activities in waste recycling, upcycling, vermin composting, compost bins and school garden. “A school is responsible for  producing not only an employee but also an entrepreneur”, says B.N. Paudel, Principal of Creative Academy.

This club has embraced the “One School, One Garden” recently published green guideline by Nepal’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.  So, this club has been organizing its activities regarding wastes and vegetable farming in cooperation with WCN. It has also constructed raised beds for vegetable farming.

Different food stalls have been displayed including Food Without Fire, Activating your Taste Bud, Spice Up and so on. Students also have raised stalls with titles Making Veggie Card with the Vegetable Stamp, Social Media Frame for  Showcase, Making Bookmarks of Vegetable Shapes, Face Paintings, segregation of recyclable wastes, sales of upcycled products, vermicompost, compost bins and . They also have some stalls with several games regarding vegetables like Match Games and Soil for Agriculture. The club members gathered an amount of Rs. 14,337 by selling their products as their business fund from the event. More than two thousands of crowd has visited it.
