Lawmakers asked to take Parliament’s permission for foreign trips

Kathmandu, July 8: Lawmakers today have urged the parliament not to allow the lawmakers to go on foreign visits without taking permission from the parliament.

Speaking in the Zero Hour in the meeting of the parliament, lawmakers demanded for the same citing that some lawmakers had made fake documents to take their assistants abroad together with them by misusing the MP’s authority and privilege.

Nepali Congress lawmakers Ishwari Neupane and Ambika Basnet stressed on having such provision demanding for the investigation into the case of some MPs preparing fake documents.

Similarly, CPN (UML) lawmaker Kamala Ghimire raised the question that why the budget was not allocated for the construction of a bridge in Kolanjorghat over the Sunkosi River, adding that survey had already conducted for the same.
