Association of Nepalese Terain in America submit Memorandum to the Ambassador
The delegates from ANTA submitted a memo to the Prime Minister of Nepal via the Nepal embassy in Washington DC on September 3rd 2015. Ambassador Dr. Arjun Kumar Karki, Chief of mission Mr. Rishi Ram Ghimire, Mr. Gautaum and other officers met the delegates.
The DC President of ANTA, Mr. Bijay Singh handed the memorandum to the ambassador and requested that he deliver the memorandum to the Prime Minister of Nepal. Several key issues were conferred during the meeting. The delegation relayed concerns towards the excessive force being applied towards the peaceful demonstrators in Terai, who are fighting for their rights.
People are dying during this unrest. ANTA believes that any kind of violence should be denounced, regardless of the side. ANTA requested that the government should discover a diplomatic solution to end these atrocities.
